  3. Preschool Storytime

    An enriched storytime meant to build early literacy skills for children ages 2-5. This storytime will teach preschool concepts using books, music, and other media to foster success in school and create lifelong readers. Storytime lasts 30 minutes and is followed by community crafting to improve motor skills and boost creativity.

  2. Teen Blackout Poetry Contest & Remembering Maya Angelou Program

    April 6, 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM @ Hamilton / South Caddo Large Meeting Room

    In celebration of National Poetry Month Youth Services of Hamilton/South Caddo Library invites teens ages 11-17 to a Blackout Poetry Contest. Teens will use newspaper articles as their unique canvas to create verse using a permanent marker and eliminating words they don't need. The deadline to turn in all pieces is 5pm Wednesday, April 5, 2017. All pieces will be on display to be voted on during Theatrical Thursday POP -UP tribute to the late great Maya Angelou. Three winners will be awarded during the program.
