Help Youth Services at our Main Branch build a dragon!

Help us build a dragon!
We are putting together a collaborative sculpture at our Main Branch! We are going to be making a dragon throughout the spring. Stop by the library and participate to help us create an original work of art that will live in the library for years to come.

The first “Build Day” will be on Thursday, January 12 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. That day is “Appreciate a Dragon Day” and you can help us put the paper mache skin on the dragon sculpture at the come-and-go celebration. RSVP to the Facebook Event to let us know you are coming!

The next event is “Paint Day” and on that day we will add the color and design the scales. We will be painting on Saturday, February 4 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

“Add a Scale Day!” is Saturday, March 4 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Stop by the Main Branch and add a scale to our dragon before we seal the skin.

We will be unveiling the final project on Saturday, April 22 at 10 a.m. These events will be held in conjunction with the Slytherdor Ravenpuff Chapter of the Harry Potter Alliance that meets at our Main Branch.

For more information on the club, visit their Facebook page or talk with Elizabeth in Youth Services. For more information about these events, call our Main Branch at 318-226-5897. Come help us build a better dragon!
