Bring in canned goods to eliminate fines during Amnesty Days!

Food for Thought
Shreve Memorial Library will host Food for Thought, our Amnesty Days program starting on Monday, November 13 to Wednesday, December 13. During this time, patrons can bring nonperishable food items to the library to eliminate fines.

The library will eliminate one overdue fine for each nonperishable food item donated. Please note that amnesty does not apply to charges for damaged or lost items. All food donated will go to the Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana.

We are committed to supporting organizations in our community that help other people. By offering fine forgiveness, we are able to offer goodwill to our patrons and help support the Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana.

So get in the holiday spirit by donating food to the library and eliminate a fine in the process. This program is always popular with our patrons, and last year you donated 7,575 lbs of food. Thanks for making a difference in the community!
