Sandy Duncan receives Adger Public Service Award

Sandy Duncan receives Adger Award
Congratulations to Sandy Duncan for receiving the 2017 Adger Public Service Award! The award recognizes a Shreve Memorial Library employee for exceptional public service to senior citizens.

A 16-year employee of Shreve Memorial Library, Sandy Duncan works as a Library Technician at the Belcher-Wyche Branch located in Belcher, Louisiana.

“You cannot find a more dedicated worker in the system,” stated Lesa Miller, Belcher-Wyche Branch Manager. “She is very thorough with her work, and her patrons always come first.”

The Adger Public Service Award was established by the estate of Blanche and Moultrie Adger, long-time patrons of Shreve Memorial Library Broadmoor Branch, because of the outstanding service they and other senior citizens received at the library. The purpose of the award is to recognize sustained, excellent public service assisting senior citizens by a Shreve Memorial Library employee. Employees may be nominated by a patron, board member, or another employee.

Nominations for the annual award are reviewed by the Formal Education Assistance Review Committee who makes the final selection. A complete list of Adger Public Service Award recipients is available at the Broadmoor Resource Center located at 1212 Captain Shreve Drive in Shreveport.
