Sci-Port presents Building Better Brains at Cedar Grove/Line Ave. Branch!

Building Better Brains at CGLA
Sci-Port Discovery Center will present the outreach program Building Better Brains at our Cedar Grove/Line Ave. Branch starting Monday, January 22. The program will be held Mondays from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and encourages complete family participation.

The goal of Building Better Brains is to inform parents about the important of science and to increase science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) learning within families. Building Better Brains promotes family engagement while also fostering a love of science. Plus, it’ll be fun with lots of hands-on activities!

Children will explore open-ended programs relating to STEM while parents participate in hands-on training in how to engage their children in STEM. The program consists of six classes exploring how we interact with science in our everyday lives whether that is at work, in the yard, around the house, in the grocery store, or in the city.

Parents and children are encouraged to attend. The classes will be held Mondays nights starting January 22 through February 26 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Cedar Grove/Line Ave. Branch of Shreve Memorial Library located at 8303 Line Ave.

Participation in the program is free and open to the public. Funding for the program is made possible by the Beaird Family Foundation
