The HistoryMakers is a digital archive that contains video oral interviews with prominent African Americans about their lives and accomplishments. The site provides an easy-to-use scholarly and educational resource for exploring African American history and culture. It is unique among collections of African American heritage because of its large and varied scope, with interviewees from across the United States, from a variety of fields, and with memories and recollected histories referencing people and events stretching from the 1700s to the present.
Homework Louisiana
Homework Louisiana provides free online tutoring, whether you are in kindergarten or college. Get help with math, science, writing, and more. Live tutors are available 7 days a week from 2 p.m. to midnight and can help students of all ages. There is also help available for adults through the Adult Education and Career Center on Sunday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to midnight. This resource is available on the State Library Databases page.

It has video courses in a variety of topics, including software, technology, art, communication, graphic design, music, and more. There are also Learning Paths, where you can take a series of classes to learn how to become a web designer, project manager, IT security specialist, and many more.

Pronunciator is a fun and free way to learn any of 120 languages through personalized courses. You can learn online, either on your desktop computer or mobile device. This resource is available through the State Library Databases page. You can also download the app to a smartphone or tablet, but you will need to set up an account to log in.
