Shreve Memorial Library branches within the city of Shreveport are closed today, March 2, 2026, due to citywide water main issues. This includes the following branches: Atkins, Broadmoor, Cedar Grove-Line Avenue, David Raines, Downtown (closed for renovations), Hamilton/South Caddo, Hollywood/Union Avenue, Mooretown, Wallette, West Shreveport, and the Support Services Center. Library administration will provide additional updates when available.

Library patrons are encouraged to use the following branches today for their library needs:

·       Blanchard Branch, 344 Alexander Street, Blanchard (11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.)

·       Gilliam Branch, 12797 Main Street, Gilliam (12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.)

·       Higginbotham-Bryson Branch, 9359 Greenwood Road, Greenwood (9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.)

·       Hosston Branch, 15478 U.S. Highway 71, Hosston (10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.)

·       Mooringsport Branch, 603 Latimer Street, Mooringsport (11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.)

·       North Caddo Branch, 615 N. Pine Street, Vivian (9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.)

·       North Shreveport Branch, 4844 North Market Street, Shreveport (9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.)

·       Oil City Branch, 102 Allen Street, Oil City (11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.)

Library patrons are also encouraged to utilize Shreve Memorial Library’s e-branch for all of their library needs, including downloading and streaming e-books and audiobooks, conducting research, and homework help. The library’s e-branch is available 24/7.
