Drop in: Celebrate Spanish Heritage, "Let's make Maracas!"

Celebrate Spanish Heritage month From 1:00PM – 4:00PM Tuesday through Friday. Children will have an opportunity to come and make their own maracas. We will also be reading Maybe Something Beautiful by F. Isabel Camoy and Abuelita and Me by Leonarda Carranza.

Creation Corner: All Things STEAM

Join us monthly to learn about creating art with found objects. In each program, children ages 6-11 will get the opportunity to explore different art techniques using abnormal art supplies. All materials will be provided. This month you are invited to make your own backpack and pack it with school supplies!!

Rather Be Reading Book Club

In recognition of Hispanic Heritage Month we are choosing the book The Wind Knows My Name by bestselling author Isabel Allende. It follows the path of two children escaping from two different countries and their difficult journey as they migrate to America. It’s a historical drama spanning from 1938 to 2019.
